I was wondering what my Blue Sky marked M-1 carbine was worth. It is marked Inland, GM 9-43 on the barrel. I do not know what the reciever is marked since it looks like a rebuild by the bayonet adapter and new style rear sight which I do not want to remove that covers the rear of the reciever markings. The handguard is loose as well as the action in the stock. I think it is probably due to the drying out of the wood. http://upload.bayoushooter.com/images/1c8t2s43qaa9700xb6k.jpg

Be cautious with Blue Sky/Arlington, Va marked carbines. This company used to much pressure on some barrels when applying the import stamping. Out of round barrels are known to exist from this stamping. Firearm should be check by gunsmith familiar with m1 carbines even if you have previously fired it.

All M1 carbine values based on condition and quality of the individual parts in the gun. Without much more detail it is difficult to even guess. The Blue Sky markings may make the barrel worthless to many unless proven otherwise.

For a basic safe shooter Inland manf. Carbine with a mix of post-war usgi parts maybe 800ish.

Be cautious with Blue Sky/Arlington, Va marked carbines.

Fortunately, most (if not all) of the Garands they imported from Korea were shot-out and rusted pretty badly below the wood line and hopefully have all since found their rightful place in the parts bins and smelters. The carbines I've examined over the years fared a little better. The import stamp is definitely a ding to the price and settles it down into the shooter range $500-600. Deduct $250 if the barrel is indeed damaged.
