Value of spent .223/5.56 brass and 7.62

I've got 2 plastic bags filled to the top of 7.62 and .223 and I'm debating weather or not to get into reloading. Is the spent brass of any value? All of it is boxer primed of mix of Privi, Winchester and Remington. The scrap yard refuses to take any spent brass cases.

I usually get around $60/1000 for .223 brass when I sell it

Freedom Munitions will give you a $2.50/lb credit for any used brass. You have to ship it to them and can only use your credit for their stuff, but it's pretty straightforward.

1911 Dave is correct along with most companies that sell re manufactured ammo they will buy your brass on a credit basis I reload myself and the benefits would be more bang for you buck and also custom loads tailored to your shooting style
