VEPR brand?

Over the past few days I've noticed an influx of various VEPR brand weapons online for sale.

What is it about the VEPR brand that the prices are a bit more?

I've noticed some of the sales ads state various parts are welded on/in place.

Veprs are built in Russia at the Molot plant. Great quality firearms for the price. Thicker receivers, bull barrels, chrome lined, and built like a tank. With that said, they are heavier than a standard AK.

Some parts are tack welded in place due to import regs. Easily removed if you're decent with a Dremel tool or file.

That's what I was referring to also. The only place I saw them was centerfire systems.
