My kids bring their iPads to public places. If they want to keep the volume up, they bring ear phones. I don't even have to remind them. It's one of those rules they follow unquestioningly.

So pray tell why does this inconsiderate moron beside me in the doctor's office insist on playing some musical game as loud as she can on her phone???

PSA: that little button on your phone that magically allows you to silence the electronic critter... Make friends with it 'k?

I was eating lunch recently at the cafeteria in Ochsner and there was a woman playing some game at the highest volume on her phone. It was amazingly loud. Everyone in the cafeteria kept looking back at her shaking their heads in disbelief, and she just pretended that nothing was wrong. I am amazed at the level of not caring about anything or anyone that some people have.

Why didn't you say something to the person when they were doing this rather than getting angry enough to post about it on a public message board after the fact?
