MSR hand pump filter, plus aquaplus for the things it doesn't cover. I've been tempted to go to a steripen instead of the aquaplus but figured I'm adding weight to the pack- aquaplus is lighter!

You really don't want to only have one water purification option, especially one that is battery powered! I've drank some NASTY water in MS before with no effects. You really don't want to leave yourself in a situation where your UV light isn't working, or isn't working well enough.

    Nalgenes (reliable and light)
Metal water bottle BPA free (durable and the bottle can be used to boil water or make char cloth)
Platypus bags (very light and size efficient)

I have one of these and have already used it on a backpacking trip. Approx 2 gallons of New Mexican cow pond water drunk a month ago and still no sign of waterborne illness. The Sawyer system is easy to clear by backwashing when it clogs from silt, sand, and such.

    A whole lot!!

I use a 16oz brown plastic bottle to protect it from light, but it still breaks down in a couple months.

1 teaspoon of bleach can purify 10 gallons of water

Ok I'm a bit confused but I'll sound stupid for better information. The bottle or the bleach breaks down?
