Is there anyone in the New Orleans area that sell Western style holsters for Colt single action revolvers ?

I looked and it was hard to find single action anything in New Orleans. Ended up going online w/ these guys: http://www.cowboyneeds.com/. Most reasonable and great variety. If your gun is blue I would get a lined holster. Good luck.

Consider your barrel length when choosing between hip versus drop. For long barrel/action guns I like a drop leg. For short actions I like hip. The drop leg allows the longer action to clear the holster before you have to raise your arm to an uncomfortable position. The difference between a Bisley Vaquero w/ a 5 1/2" barrel versus a Super Blackhawk w/ a 7 1/2" barrel.
