I'm thinking about the 165 Gr or 180 Gr Accubond or the 168gr Barnes TTSX.
I have the 70gr Barnes TSX loaded in my AR15, however, I have yet to hunt with it.

Within 100 yards, more likely 50yards and less.
    1:10 Twist

1:10 is good enough twist for what ever you can buy commercially.
Hornady SST's shoot nice. My 30-06 doesn't twist that tight so I keep mine at 165. I say push as heavy a bullet through it will group with. I know you said you are gonna be hand loading so you can really do some experimenting.

    Trying to cut cost :)
I found factory seconds of the 180gr Accubond for $40/100

personally, id never hunt hogs or deer with a 556/223 caliber. I don't think a 70gr bullet would crack the shoulder plate on a mature hog.

Humane and swift is important to me. the 30-06 with the 168gr should be great - i shoot the same projectile in my 308.

I sighted mine in with 150gr barnes ttsx. I havent shot a deer with it yet but I know the 130s in my 270wsm worked well for deer.

How would the TTSX work on Hogs? I'm leaning towards the 180gr Accubond because it will be the one and only load I'll need to hunt Hog, Deer, Elk, Moose, ect... (given that I can produce a sub moa load with it)

you can obviously shoot the heavier bullets with the 3006. I don't think sub moa accuracy is necessary with hogs. I've yet to encounter one at a distance where even magnified optics were necessary. Honestly, I've never hunted hogs anywhere that i could see far enough to even worry about sub moa.

The ttsx won't splatter or separate.

I know this isn't sexy, but plain ol' Remington Core-Lokt in 180 grain. I used those for years and then tried the Accubond mainly because it sounded cool. The deer still died, but I have to say that the old Core-Lokt actually had more impressive kills overall.

This if for around this area of course. If you're only shooting 150 yards I don't honestly think it matters so long as it's not a grossly improper bullet choice. (Do they still make the 30-06 Accelerator?)

I've killed hogs of decent size with everything from 150gr Muzzy broad heads to 44mag to 444 Marlin, 7.62x39, .300AAC, .270 Win.....you name it. 30-06 in most any decent load should get the job done easily enough. I'd go with a cheaper decent name brand heavy bullet. No sense in spending a bunch of money when any '06 load will drop a pig.
