I visited the Longhorn Caverns just north of Austin. My height did not play to my advantage

Cut grass and spread sand yesterday. Oh, and some electrical work later in the day. I'd wanted to go do something w/ the family today but my daugther's cold looks worse... Looks like I'll be around the house today.

I went to visit parents and brought my 9yr granddaughter to give her first shooting lessons with the Henry mini-bolt. I got to shoot my new Rossi 357 lever gun and ate some real good supper. The kid liked the mini-bolt, but soon grew tired of loading one at a time. Then she noticed the Marlin 60 could shoot 18 times before it was reloaded. She didn't want to put it down all day! This will be the second generation that has learned to shoot on that same Marlin.

I'm looking at this post and thinking, "man, what a show-off." It took me a few minutes to realize you meant a competitive shooting match and not a "striking" match for fire. Needless to say, I felt pretty stupid.

Got off work at 7am. Came home and made breakfast. Surfed some forums and Hulu'ed an episode of The Gates. Posted some photos on my Facebook page adn some photos on the LOCAL Facebook page. Watching episodes of Hoarders on A&E right now. And typing this too.
