    Good area you think?

Trying to buy a house and I can find nothing in Metairie.

There are some fixer-uppers in River Ridge.

Does anyone know if it is a desirable place?

I was trying to deliver my bike to a house there. For some reason the gps and Goode maps don't like to find addresses in river ridge.

I've never lived there, but I've spent a good bit of time around RR. Can't say that I'd live anywhere in the NO metro area, but I don't have anything bad to say about RR.

We're looking at River Ridge also. We saw a house that looked fantastic, but it may have flooded because of a river-side-of-the-road drainage issue.

The big thing i'm disliking about the river side of river ridge/harahan is that in some of those neighborhoods, the developers were more interested in the number of houses they could get away with building rather than giving you "room" away from your neighbor. You have a lovely front yard but a back yard that would be considered cruel if you had to keep a dog in it.

Of course, you get what you pay for but RR and Harahan have areas that are slowly being reclaimed and renovated, but your neighbor might have 3 cars parked in his front yard next to the a-frame, a boat that hasn't seen water since WWII and a bench seat from an oldsmobile on the porch.
