    At risk of being heckled, because tat posts usually are around here.... It's less about font and more about ability of the artist. I have font on mine. It sucks balls. My sister has font on hers and is to die for awesome.

    Start by picking a great artist, and ask *HIM*. :)

    I cannot advocate the tattooing of any names or writting

    Not even your own? I have my daughter's initials and bday attached to my left ribcage(this is the one done by Kevin). I do agree with not getting a significant other's name tattooed on oneself, but no way will I say not to get your own family name or your child's name inked. No matter what happens between me and my daughter, she will ALWAYS be my daughter. Can't necessarily say that for significant others.
