I know, it's a funny picture -- the sign in the back says "Italian Communist Party," which makes me think the Italian communists have LOADS of style, or at least HAD, since this picture looks to be from the 1970s.

But what I want to know is:

    What is this gun?

Wow, that was fast! (These boards are incredible.)

The Remington 7600 top-folder was an interesting lead.

But I do think it's the Spas 12 -- with a top-folding stock. Check out that perforated metal stock. Sure looks like a match. Also, the Spas 12 is from Franchi, an Italian manufacturer, and that fits as well. Thanks for the great work.

    SPAS, awesome gun. pricey

I had one like 20 years ago. I felt it was too complex. Too many parts. Do I want to use it as a pump or a semi automatic? Schizophrenic shotgun. It was like a crescent wrench. It fit every sized nut equally poorly. It's just my opinion but it was popular caused it looked bad a$$ed. So there are much better pump shotguns and much better semi auto shotgun. Was there a need for a shotgun that could do both? I don't think so after owning one.

For the record if you put a long enough dial rod in the magazine you could use it for rabbit hunting. (To limit it to 2 rounds) It worked OK but it wouldn't cycle anything that light on the Semi automatic setting.
