I saw this on another forum - what do you think a fair price on this would be, and what's your experience with Para Ordinance?

"FOR SALE IS MY PARA ORDNANCE 14-45 1911 PISTOL WITH 2 MAGAZINES. IT IS TWO TONE AND HOLDS 14+1 ROUNDS OF .45 CALIBER AMMO. THE FOLLOWING PARTS HAVE BEEN REPLACED AND I STILL HAVE ALL ORIGINALS AND BAGS THE NEW PARTS CAME IN. THE GUN NOW HAS A WILSON COMBAT HIGH RIDE BEAVERTAIL GRIP, WILSON COMBAT EXTENDED SLIDE RELEASE, WILSON COMBAT TACTICAL THUMB SAFETY, ED BROWN MAINSPRING HOUSING, GUN CRAFT INC. ALUMINUM TRIGGER, WILSON COMBAT ULTRALIGHT HAMMER, ED BROWN EXTENEDED MAG CATCH AND A WILSON COMBAT HEAVY DUTY RECOIL SPRING"

    Thanks,
    Mike

really depends on who replaced all the parts and how well it shoots. It could be a dream pistol or a boat anchor that needs work. Assuming it's as pristine as this one and all good as a shooter, maybe $800. ;)

seriously, if it still cycles as well as or better than it did with all the factory fitted parts, I think it's worth at least that, probably even a little more; especially if you like it. (see signature line below) :D

$550.00 - $600.00 would be the most I'd offer. Too much info left out. Round count, drop-in bevertail or gunsmith fit, new sear fitted with hammer, and what is a heavy duty recoil spring (they are all rated in lbs) ?

I see no one has offered the traditional. "It's worth $1 and they'll take it off your hands" as of yet. Please consider this the official posting of that tired old joke.
