What's up with .223 and executive orders in DC

I saw on Fox and heard on radio that the powers that be in DC are going after this caliber ammo with executive orders very soon. I see where the 62 grain green tip has gone up in price for allegedly this same reason. Is this old news are something besides the usual bs they are always trying. Help a common man understand.

Yup, what I thought. I'd seen those threads earlier in the month. The news is always a little behind the people in the know.
