Anyone know of any stores (online or in the BR area) where I can pick up some of the Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm 17 round mags? I've looked quite a bit online and can't seem to find anything!

I ordered some through S&W website back in early December. I still haven't gotten the mags or any form of communication from S&W. I call the number on my invoice and get an automated message saying they are out of stock until further notice. I have 5 mags total from before things went crazy and the ones on order with S&W that I'll probably never get.

Aint that the truth. I bought a bunch when they were relatively easy to find. Those days are gone for right now. Hopefully more will come back in stock soon.

Werd. I had a few left from selling off my M&P stuff a few months back that I put on gunbroker with a $35 starting bid. They got up to ~$95 by the time they sold :eek3:

Cabelas had the pro-mags for the M&P recently. Mind you, they are Pro-mags, not, I repeat, not S&W mags. Never had any experience with them. I think they were around the $25 mark. If you are desperate, they may do in a pinch.

i was in the search not too long ago.

I settled with the promags and weren't disappointed. They would feed rounds just fine, but had issue with hanging up on the slide-stop and not drop freely. I upgraded the follower, base plate and base plate lock to the factory S&W, as well as tweaked the feed lips a bit, and now it runs like a top. Almost as good as factory mags. They run so well, I use them in competitions.

Another route you could do is buy extra M&P 9's and you'd have more than enough mags. I ended up buying 3 M&P's lol .

    Best advice:

#1. Sign up for email notifications for every website that offers it (with decent pricing) & practice your patience.

#2. Buy some "back up" M&P's

I try to keep 5 mags for every pistol I have. My M&P was an impulse buy. If I'd known how difficult it is to find mags, I'd probably skipped on buying the gun. (Really happy i didn't) I signed up for notifications on cabelas & midway. Recently scored a couple of promags. Not happy with the brand, but it'll do until something better comes along.

    Oh.....one last thing...
If I were to buy another M&P tomorrow, it'd be the 45. M&P 45 mags are literally EVERYWHERE.

S&W had stopped selling magazines due to needing more magazines to package with new handguns.

Early July S&W customer service was taking orders, I would say give them a call and see if they are still accepting orders.
