I want to try my hand at the 50 cal Desert Eagle. I was stuck at home cuz I was sick this week and watched the movie "Snatch" one too many times, and that got me wanting to try it. One of my friends has been wanting to try shooting an MP5 for a whle now, so a range that would rent both guns would be awesome. I live in metairie and don't mind driving up to about an hour each way, but places around lafayette are a bit far for just a one day trip. Any ideas?

thanks bud, I did some calling around since i posted this thread, and everyone around here pretty much just laughs at me. "So you want to rent a tank?! Sorry, we don't have them" haha!

I may have to wait till text weekend to go to lafayette. Don't feel like taking a 2 hr trip each way this weekend. Unless someone else suggests another place closer. Berney's doesn't have the desert eagle though, so I will have to look for that someplace else too.

I think your better bet may be finding someone with a 50ae and paying for them to shoot the mp5 to entice them out.

Keep this thread up and you might find them.
Ill chip in on the .50 ammo and rent their grease gun beacuse its so much smoother than an MP5.

I miss my DE .50ae, nothing like going to an indoor range and caching your target on fire with the flash from the first shot and the precution putting it out on the second shot, watching the next lane over's target fly up as the the hollOw point the size of an ashtray flies by.

They got rid of the m16? Damn, I wanted to shoot that one

The fun guns belonged to the previous owner. He kinda used owning the range as a means to obtain his fun guns, which he had to get rid of when he sold the place. I remember shooting the G18 back in the day. It was definately something you don't forget.

Wow... Now I really want to try it! Damn... does this gun recoil a lot? or is the recoil manageable?
