which 308

ok I am just waiting for my 5.56 uppers to come in then my ar15 is complete, now i'm looking at a long distance rifle. Should i go with the ar10 and just go with a 20"inch barrel and put a fake 4 inch suppressor on it, or should i go with an AR30 setup which comes with a 26" barrel, i know some of you have ar10 just wanting some input

For a .308 AR platform rifle, 20" is fine.

How far is long distance for you? What kind of accuracy do you want? I have had and still have AR based .308s for years. None of them have come close to any of my bolt guns for accuracy. Recoil sucks because of the weight of the bolt carriers in them. Mine are picky about port preasure and cycle speeds on the carriers. I have a custom order AR 308 that has yet to be as accurate as I thought it would be. I'm talking with match grade ammo in all guns. I'm still on the fence about AR 10 based weapons??? I still think a good M1A is better. Just my two cents? Good luck!
