Why doesn't Youtube work on my laptop?

Sometimes it works great, sometimes it takes forever to load, sometimes it doesn't load at all, sometime it locks up! It's a brand new laptop windows 7 made by HP.

Hell man, I miss my youtube!! I need some help.

Hey Bill,
Make sure you have the latest version of flash player installed..
I don't use Internet Explorer . I use Firefox. The Internet Explorer in Windows 7 Sucks. It don't open a lot of links etc. Firefox has not messed up yet.

I don't know about the other issues, but it seems that youtube can be realllly slow sometimes during peak hours.

If you have flash installed make sure that scripting is enabled. The easiest way for you to do this is reset internet properties or securities to default settings.

If you're running Firefox, try running it safe-mode with add-ons disabled and see if it plays then...

Have you tried watching videos from any other sites besides You Tube?

if you have any kind of adblock software running, try disabling it

youtube doesn't like when you try to block their ads

Cant remember ever seeing a ad on youtube. I guess the adblockers on firefox are working great. The vids play fine for me.

I downloaded firefox, updated my flash driver, and screwed with my ad/popup blocker and it is loading sparatically... Sometimes it loads fast sometimes not at all. I'm beginning to think it is COX...

It probably is. I know numerous people using COX that have issues streaming video from sites like youtube.

there's advertisements when you play videos now so you have to watch a 15-30 second ad to watch your youtube video

most adblock software attempts to block those ads and it causes the video not to play at all

Ive seen stuff like that on other vid sites but never on youtube. I guess they dont affect the vids I watch.
