Choot! Choot! I think is what he says
Hey my wife got some 375 round boxes to have him and his son sign. She also has hats and shirts ect.
We missed them last time they were some place.
I think that ammo will sit for some time unless Indians attach and it must be used
She does not tell me how to spend my $ and i do not tell her
She gave $21.99 a box, I looked at the receipt yesterday.
So I bet there are quite a few others out there who are fans and have ammo just to have ammo

Hook & Line sporting goods in chalmette has some Aguila super extra .22 LR.
    $4.99 per box.

If anyone looking. It is pretty darn accurate from my 10/22

Used Slickguns today to get a 500rd box of Aguila Super Extreme. $55 with shipping, however it's supposed to be on par with CCI Mini-Mags which were going for $8/box pre panic where I lived. So it's not that much of a jump, and I really want to shoot .22LR out of my AR pistol. Also plan to check function in my 1911-22 since it has only ever fed CCI Mini-Mags reliably since I've owned it; I'll actually be happy if I can add another brand to what it eats.

Was that supposed to be funny?

I guess if getting quality ammo for, "cheap" as another member put it, a decent deal is funny, then yes. Aguila SE is Eley primed.

    I'm the odd guy.

I don't buy .22 just to go bang with. One rifle has a liking for Eley, another DEMANDS Eley, and another can use certain models of Federal on a short range, but prefers Fiocchi or Eley. See a trend here.

$5 a box for me is cheap. Even before the 'interesting times' I dropped $8 to $10 a box for .22. Accuracy costs money. Even still Eley Target which is my low end practice ammo is not available by the case which is how I bought it before.

Will the old days of $10 Remington bricks at Wally World come back? Not a chance. We have more shooters than ever before. Production has remained the same. The rest of the gun culture has figured out that rimfire is a great way to train for cheap. All we can do at this point is put in our orders and wait. Recently got an email from the CMP which stated that there is an 18 month backorder on Aguila .22. I just have to believe that the industry is taking a hard look at the situation and considering expansion.

Sure seems like the availability pipeline is speeding up. :)

Like Hitman advised- be patient and don't pay more than you absolutely have to.

Gander Mountain offered 22LR this AM. So many people hit it that their server crashed. Phone call required 20 minutes on hold and 1000 rounds with shipping for just under $55.00 This was a real test of my patience.
