Hey guys, didnt see another shotgun forum so hopefully this is in the right place.

I have an older Winchester Ranger 12 gauge that belongs to my father, nothing fancy but its his so I'd like to get it running right.

It was his dove gun when I was a kid, then it started acting up and he bought a mossberg pump. Sadly we havent had the opportunity to hunt in many years but now that I'm into shooting I'd like to get the Winchester running.

For some reason, it will only hold 1 shell in the magazine tube. You can fit about half of a second shell, but thats it. As I said it was a dove hunt gun so it's never held more than two in the tube. I took it down to see what I could see, not knowing much about shotguns everything looked ok, I decided to post pics.

pic 8: thats as far as a second shell goes.

    Any ideas? Thanks alot

edit: photobucket may be acting up, if the pics dont all load I'll see what i can do.

have you tried dropping the "plug" in the tube w/o the spring just to see if it will freely slide up and down the length w/o snagging on anything?

as far as I can tell that either isnt supposed to come out or doesnt. Picture 5 shows every part I could figure out how to get apart without tools.
