    Mid-Range Prone/F-Class Match on Saturday January 5, 2013

25 shooters came out on a raw, wintery day. But those who did got to see one range record matched another shattered!

There were 8 shooters on the Prone side. We were glad to see Dwayne Vidrine back after a 6 month absence due to neck surgery and though he did not shoot his last string due to neck stiffness, we were all happy to see him back. Harold Sightler, making his first visit jumped out on the first string with a 197-9x and never let up posting 197-9x and 199-12x on the next strings and taking the win with a 593-30x. Joe Mistreta was the Master/master Unclassified with a 576-15x. In the combined Expert/Sharpshooter/Marksman class Nick Owen took the win with a 553-8x. Those coats were problem welcome today.

In FTR, Mickey Brinkman continues to set the pace with his second win in a row. Mickey shot his first 200 on his first string with a 200-9x and followed that up with a 198-12x and a 199-11x to finish with a 597-32x. Shooting like this, Mickey will be joining the ranks of High Master very soon.

In the F-Open, Jim Suber shot like a man on a mission. Tying the range record of 200-18x on his second string and having shot a 200-15x on his first string, Jim went on to shoot a 200-11x on his third string. This gave him an overall score of 600-44x. This is a new range record besting the old record of 600-35x set in 2009 by 9 X’s. That is setting the bar really high for the next folks to reach! Great shooting Jim!!! Eddie Trahan bested Alton Britt on the X count to take 1st in the High Master group with a 597-39x to Alton’s 25x. The combined Master/Master Unclassified/ Expert group was won by Taylor Boudreaux who shot a nice 591-22x.

Another great day of shooting and we want to thank all those who came out and helped us get ready.

    See ya next month!

    Rick, Ted and Mickey

Yea good shooting to all! Hey Mickey looks like I'm going S&B like you, buy way of Ebay! I will auctioning off one well used kidney on E-bay to fund said scope, as I have spent retirement, college funds and anything I could off-load to keep up with the Brinkman's. Looking at money trees soon! Hope to see you all this weekend.

    You missed a good one!
Quit chasing those deer around the woods and come shoot.:D

Hey man, those deer taste better than that paper target......lol.......I sure wish I coulda been there seriously, I knew you guys were gonna burn it up with no mirage and favorable winds. Once again, great shooting brother, you and CJ are setting the bar HIGH for the rest of us in FTR. As for what Mr. Suber did in F Open, all I can say is WOW! That will be HARD to top for anyone. Hopefully I will be back on the line for the Feb. match. See yall then.

Oh, and Chris... If the eBay auction on the kidney don't get you all the $$$ you need for the SB, let me know. I may have a 12-42x56 NXS up for sale soon.
    ;)

No problem I have a lady on E-bay interested in a lightly used testicle. She is very interested, says her husband doesn't have any? I am hoping this will cover the extra money I need!
