I just bought a rough rider .22 lr revolver for my grandfather for around 200 bucks from cabelas. Might be something you want to look into. Very accurate little pistol single action but fun to shoot. Oh and it comes with the magnum cylinder as well.

seen those and thought they were neat.

but not for me. prefer to have a cylinder that swings out instead of a loading gate. and the ability to shoot double action.

I have a 9 shot revolver that has some finish damage that I will let go for 50$ bucks.,.

I think I have the magnum cylinder also. Oh and its single action.

You could probably find a good Bersa Thunder 22 on gunbroker for around that price. Those are really good pistols. Not incredibly accurate, but a good plinking pistol for the money.

Ever thought about a Puma 1911-22? I have seen them for around $200-230 range. I just got one in trade that I'm tickled about trying out. They get good reviews and are basically a "beginners" 1911.
