They sell monnshine, and apple pie, at wal mart. I believe its the ole smokey kind. You can make apple pie yourself with regular moonshine.

Be careful when you buy the 2 clear ones (moonshine and lighting) the labels are so small you really have to pay attention when you pick them up and look at them. I bought the lighting and I really liked it, bought the moonshine the next time on accident and I found you can taste too much corn in it, didn't care for it. Just make sure you read the labels closely.

The ole smokey apple pie is delicious. Had a roommate in college from kentucky, brought me some real shine- that stuff is no joke. It makes the apple pie stuff taste like, well, apple pie. One ounce of the real stuff, and I thought my insides were literally on fire for several minutes.

Check some liquor stores or high-end groceries, I bet you can find some legal white lightning. Same as the illicit stuff except you know what went into it and it won't kill you.

i tried the apple pie, it's not real moon shine. You can buy it at walmart. I spit some on a fire and it did nothing.

You can easily make "legal shine" from your house..
I have been doing it for years! Here is my Apple Pie reciepe..
1-32 oz Apple Juice
1-32 oz Apple Cider
8- cinnamon sticks
1- cup sugar
1- cup brown sugar
3- tablespoons vanilla (optional)
1- 750ml Everclear (190 proof)

Mix the apple juice, cider sugars together in large pot.
Heat till boiling, recuce heat and toss cinnamon sticks in.
Simmer On low heat for 30 min.
Remove from heat cover and let cool to room temp.
(I let sit over night)
Next add vanilla (I like but purely optional)
Add 750 ml of Everclear.
Stir and then pour into containers.
For best results let sit at least a week.. 2 is better.
Will make Just under a gallon of @ 50 proof shine!

I bought some of this last night at Albertsons on Perkins. I got the cherry one. Smells like rubbing alcohol and tastes like cherries...could be VERY dangerous. There were two brands and both were ~$21.00

I made this last month and still have a few mason jars full. That stuff will sneak up on you in an instant!!! And damn does it ever test like apple pie filling. I like it better at room temp than chilled.

Exactly my thoughts also. And even if the ATF isn't watching....The Hitler Youth may report you because you pissed one of them off in another forum. Between breaking the alcohol laws and owning firearms.....Who knows, theres probably some obscure law which tacks 10 years to a sentence since you are buying or producing while in possession of a firearm. Possession of an illegal drug with a gun is a 10 year charge.
Either it's a dumb ploy at tricking someone.....Or just a dumb idea without any forethought of the ramifications.

Guys, as long as you either

a) make it yourself
b) buy from a licensed dealer (read: pays taxes on it)

It's not illegal. EVERYTHING was illegal during prohibition, hence the stigma. What do you think Everclear is? Moonshine! Its just distilled spirits fermented from a non-specific sugar source that isn't aged in charred barrels (that would make it whiskey/rye).

That entire "Moonshiners" show is staged. They are doing nothing illegal, otherwise you think they'd still be airing it?
