    That is a good deal.
    I had one for years and thousands of rounds.
    It's a later civy version of the M1 carbine. Some aftermarket parts for the M1 carbine won't work but the mags and sights are the same. Stocks are not compatable. Same hard trigger but it's like shooting that BB gun you grew up with, in that there's almost nothing you can't hit with it. FMJ ball was somewhere in the ballpark of 1900fps with 110gr or so. My oldest son killed his first deer with mine at age 10 with a soft tip through the heart. Gave the gun to him then. I sure do miss it.

    I bought one of these from a fellow member here. It was in good condition andaves died up giving it to my son for his birthday. It may not be a WWII version but it's still pretty cool for a 14 yo boy. He was here last summer and he shot the hell out of it. Little did he know he was playing with his b-day present.
