These are brand new and have never have been sighted in, or for that matter, even on a gun when it was fired. I found they were too smooth for me so I added some light stippling/texturing to them and they feel great now. I just don't like the placement of the laser which makes it harder to conceal if you carry @ 3 o'clock in an OWB holster like I do. For other carry positions, it should not be an issue at all.
