I'm selling my favorite .308 and I always said I would never do this as it has been the most accurate rifle I have ever owned. Built by 3 time National Long Range Champion John Whidden, it's got a 26" spiral fluted Broughton 1:10 twist heavy Palma barrel threaded 5/8x24 with a Pandora muzzle brake. The chamber is a 95 Palma Match throated .050" longer and it loves Berger 155 VLDs. The action is a hand lapped, trued and blued SA Rem 700 with spiral fluted bolt and PT&G bolt handle. The stock is a Whidden Composite Stock with Whidden bedding block and Hooper bottom metal. It comes with a Badger 20MOA base and AI 5 round magazine. The stock is also textured with a front bi-pod stud and 2 flush cups on the left side. I don't have my log book here but the round count is low.

I need $2,000.00 for this rifle plus actual shipping/insurance to your FFL.

This is a group I shot with the rifle at an NRA Instructors course in front of 12 witnesses. The cold bore shot is also in the group.

How about a break down of the parts.

Rem 700 SA from Brownells $400
    Broughton heavy Palma bbl $345
    Whidden Composite Stock $400
Hooper Bottom Metal w/ Mag $300
    Badger 20MOA Base $125
    Flush cups/bipod stud $50
PT&G bolt handle with knob $25
    Pandora brake $125
    Precision ground recoil lug $25

    That's $1795 for parts alone.

    Add to that:
spiral flute bbl and bolt $225
    attach bolt handle $25
Chamber and thread both ends $300
    KG Gun Kote $200
    True Remington action $200

That brings it to $2745 if my math is right, and that doesn't guarantee you'll get a rifle that shoots as good as this one. I've won 600 and 1000 yd F-TR matches with this rifle.

There is no trigger in the gun, nor is it listed in the parts above. I took my jewel out but can put an X-Mark Pro in it if someone wants that, if not they can put their own aftermarket trigger in it.

    Nice.
How many rounds down the barrel?

Edit: whoops, just saw that you said "low" -- please update with specifics when you have a chance. Thanks
