In no way would I take the Yugo over the Russian SKS.

Just my opinion. The Russians are worth more and will always be worth more. the Yugos can be had nearly anywhere.

Yeah, shipping is a pain. Even if you prefer a Yugo, be sure to check them out carefully. I got a few that were very good but wouldn't cycle. The gas tube/grenade launcher diverter valve wears out. Also, Yugoslavia doesn't (didn't) have chrome so the barrels are not chrome lined like the Norincos and (I think) the Russians.
The very good ones with the worn out gas systems were $99 or less. They can be fixed but they will never be as good as a Norinco or Russian, IMHO.
Do your homework on the web before you make up your mind.

That is a very nice SKS. Probably nicer than my Norinco. Although not in the picture, I do have the cleaning rod.
And, I have an extra Norinco SKS bayonet if anyone is interested.
