I'm interested in the 30/30 set. What does FL mean, though? Also, how many 45 cases would you want for trade?

Just starting to reload and the dies came with the press I bought second hand. Looking at the RCBS catalog, I believe the FL stands for "Full Length".
As for the brass, I purchased 500 pieces for 30.00 at a local range (picked off the shooting line). I would take three hundred if that seems fair.

I have a Marlin 30-30 carbine, but I don't know if the cartridges it fires are "full length" or not.

You realize what you've done? Right?

Now. I have .45 acp brass. I could easily give up 300 pcs of range brass, unsorted. Problem is if I get the .44 spl dies, then I have to buy a mold for bullets. The mold is no good with out a sizing die. Then I need a revolver. See I don't own a .44 spl.

No. I think it would be just too expensive for me to trade you dies for brass.:wtc:

I can do 300 once fired 45 brass for the 30-30. It's unsorted.

I do .30-30 on occasion. Google the paper clip trick to check brass for wear on the inside near the case head. Some .30-30 rifle chambers are prone to this. Others may develop the problem as they wear.

Edit: I average about five reloads per case. Your mileage may vary.

This will most likely be my load for hunting. Won't be shooting it much, but like the idea of taking my first dear with a cartridge I made myself. I'll check out that paperclip trick.
