What's with the two different finishes on the cylinders? Can't have come from factory that way. Which cylinder is which?

the nickle is .45LC,blue is .45ACP.both cylinder are original to the gun(marked w/last 3 digits of ser.#) i assume previous owner had cylinder nickled to make it easier to distinguish calibers.been told i can contact ruger to find out but just haven't gotten to it yet.
