X-treme Bullet Load Data Range Report

I was having trouble finding load data on X-treme .40cal. 180gr.plated bullets using hodgdon HS-6 powder. After some research & lots of cross checking in different manuals, I decided to go with 6.8 gr with CCI 500 primers. I loaded 10 of them to test & went shoot yesterday. Everything ran flawless, recoil & accuracy is on par with factory. I checked all casing/primers for deformaties, cracks, splits, etc... & found none.

You started with a max load?
Plated bullets use the same starting load as a lead bullet.
In this case, 6.2gn is the starting load in several manuals with 6.8 and 6.9gn being the max load. Even for jacketed bullets, I have two manuals that show 6.9gn as being Max.
