I checked out the XD 45 and the XDm 45 at a shop here. The XDm was around 130.00 more than the XD. What is the reason for the price difference?

Dude the XDM 9mm Is Very Nice. Solid gun with light Recoil. You could easily shoot Matches with it if you wanted.

Oh and to go back on the site at the top right is a tiny red mark. Click on it. It's wierd that it's there and that small but it is. Then you can go to the gallery and view every XDM version available.

Get the compact in 40. The slides are interchangeable with the grips, meaning you have the capacity to have 4 different gun variations!

Before you go out and buy one, try to find some of your friends or a local range that will let you rent one and try it out. Try to shoot an XD next to a Glock. For me, the XD doesnt really fit will in my hands. But before you go out and drop a bunch of money, I'd definitely try to shoot a couple of different makes.
