I'm pretty partial to Berry's prefered plated bullets for 9mm to shoot in my g17. Not much more than regular cast. I believe the last batch I ordered about 4 months ago from Powder Valley was shipped to my door for about $95 for 1250 projectiles. That said, I am currently stockpiling lead to begin casting for 45, 45-70, 44, 38/357.

Those are good prices. Gonna have to look up their web site.

$2.81 per box of 50 (.05 cents ea) due to free bullets (plated)via trade. My best price was .66 cents per box of 50 (.013 cent ea) when I also acquired free 30 year old primers. I buy bullets and powders in volume.

Using Hodgdon HS-6, Tula Primers, and Berrys plated 115 grain bullets, I get $7.13 per 50, or 14.3 cents per bullet. But that also figured in hazmat and shipping charges on the powder and primers. Discounting all shipping costs for additional boxes since I got 8 Lbs. of powder and 1000 primers and 1000 bullets, I get $5.67 per box of 50, or 11.3 cents per round.

I used to only use Precision Delta bullets but I bought a KKM barrel for my G34 so now I have stocked up on Bayoubullets for 9mm. I use 180 gr .40 BB for my STI Edge and 200 gr SWC in 45 for my 1911.

Reloading 9mm using Donnie's 124 gr bayou bullets. CCI primers and Red Dot. Comes out to 11.5 cents per bang. Would be less but had to buy some brass.
Gander Mountain's best price in my neighborhood is .39 cents per bullet. Easy choice to make.

If you are already loading, it should be easy to determine the cost yourself.
I have been using Montana Gold and Precision Delta 124gn JHPs I bought before Os reelection for just a hair over 7 cents a bullet. Primers are 1-2 cents and powder is 1-2 cents, so cost is 10-12 cents a round.
    Again, why the question?
I loved casting bullets, but all my sources of cheap lead disappeared and I find the commercial cast bullets from mastercastbullets.com and Missouri Bullets to be more than adequate. You can check prices on their sites.
9x19 is a lot more forgiving than .40S&W. Lots of supposedly sane folks are loading 9mm Major at pressures well over SAAMI MAX. The only real concern with 9x19 is bullet set-back. Like all rounds, I push down on each bullet when it comes to the crimp stage. If the bullet moves, it is removed and broken down.
I find 0.356-0.357" jacketed bullets to be better than 0.355" jacketed, and 0.357" cast better than 0 .356". When I cast, I shot as-cast and tumble- or pan-lubed bullets.

I've got some good info on places to buy bullets I've never heard of. This will save me money in the future. And maybe start casting my own bullets. Thanks for the replies all.
