I like them...but try explaining to the wife why you have like 6 pair in yer closet. So, rather than admitting my cross dressing problem, I decided to use them for something a little more manly...
Didn't wanna waste too much money on my first shot at it so I got a few cans of rustoleum ultra flat, One of my old squirrel rifles...oh, and the cheapie pair of stockings I bought at the party store. Impulse buy, I swear!
The base coat is black, then sprayed a couple sections with tan and brown, because that's all I could find besides the OD green, which runs pretty dark in Rustoleum.
About an hour wait before I could...slip on the stocking, lol. Then tie it off, arrange the wrap for effect and do what you can to ensure it's touching most of the stock. The last coat was with the olive drab. Another hour and....slink off the stocking. Sexxxy as I don't know what.
I plan to do the scope, mounts, bolt handle, trigger guard and barrel when I get it back from the machinist. Smaller parts I'll do with a tighter pattern.
Cost me less than $50 in materials.
Once it's all done I'll post up pics of the finished product
