I think AG charged a guy 9000.00 for a supposed cannon they strapped on a side-by-side with some fence post clamps and the cannon had a pipe cap screwed on the back instead of a welded piece of billet steel.
If they really did that and charged that guy that amount, he needs a check-up and AG needs to change their pricing!
    IMHO

I'm not bashing either company and can be totally wrong but I do not remember RJ broadcasting every one of their prices of their builds on their show? I may be wrong though. I didn't start this thread to bash either company. I like both shows but I think they are totally different shows. One show does mostly military and the other does not.

I can't stand either one. I only watch SOG to see if I'm on it at all, or if there's something on the show I can make fun of a coworker for.

I will watch both because I like firearms. If you view them with the understanding that they are staged and probably require staging and scripting then you can stomach them. Here are my issues with both.

    American Guns
    Whoring of the daughter
Ridiculous sales being made with to much flashing of money
Bragging that they are the only shop that can do what they do
The morbidly obese gunsmith who makes me feel like he could have a heart attack at any moment
    The repetitive final shot explosion

    Sons of Guns
Don't believe that anybody who walks in there is real
Kris and his village idiot act with the over the top acting
    The whole drama with Vince
The romance between Kris and Stephanie
    The repetitive final shot explosion

I will continue to watch because there are still guns involved and I do like the Louisiana based SOG. I just think that the success of the show has been both a blessing and a curse for Red Jacket. I wish them success as a LA based company but you have to believe that the shows producers want drama. I think that can also be said of American Chopper. The had amazing success but it screwed the family up forever.

I dont like either. Though I havnt liked TV since 1998 started going downhill after 98. I hate RJ because I saw the episode where they had a saiga 308 , put all kinds of work into it. Kreiger barrel, reworked the innards then claimed it was a 1k meter AK . Sure it was an AK variant but when I hear someone say "AK" , I think of a x39.

Then I loved how they thought the Army would actually field that thing and said it would save lives in the sand box. Stupid. It was a beautiful rifle though.

Never watched AG because I figured it was just another garbage reality TV show.

I miss the days of Steve Irwin.

I actually enjoy SOG despite the fake deadlines, the "rush" jobs, and the "nevuh been dun befoe" baloney. I get to see interesting guns and a bit of entertainment.

I've seen AG twice and can't stand it. It is not entertaining to see Rich bend over his "customers" and dry rape them on the front counter.

That about sums it up for me too. If they would just show the guns and the builds and leave out all of the acting/reality on both of them they would be better shows.
