Everything I read says these idiots are just a group of outlaws from the Kansas/Nebraska area sought after for drugs and threatening some patrons at a bar and the local LEOs and evaded capture and has been on the run ever since. But I haven't seen anymore on them, what was said at the press conference today at 11:30am, I'm all the way up in Wyoming right now. I thought they where just ripping and running. I hope they see the Death penalty!

But....another thing I have to say is this. I do think that the current drug prohibition laws only fuel these types of people. The selling of drugs is how they survive...its how they make money. The enforcement of the drug laws are also what fuels their hatred of LEOs.

And thats why I really think this country would be much better off if we just ended the current War on Drugs. The War is fueling an "Us against them" mentality on so many fronts. Its just not worth it.....especially when one looks at how drugs are everywhere. FWIW....Prohibition never works.

If cigarettes were to be banned tomorrow.....I assure you.....overnight we would see a huge black market for cigarettes....and we would see gangs and other groups pop up to supply those cigarettes.

    Is this a joke?

Why would that be a joke. How do you think gangs make their money. Most gangs actually control the distribution of drugs. Most urban shooting are directly related to the distribution of drugs. It was also reported that one of these 5 idiots was caught selling weed to an undercover cop.
The Beatrice (Neb.) Daily Sun reported that authorities believed Joekel went underground and left the area shortly after that incident. He was due in court on Sept. 1, 2011, to face charges of distributing marijuana and resisting arrest, the paper reported.
He allegedly tried to sell four and a half pounds of the drug to an undercover investigator for $6,075. He posted 10 percent of a $200,000 and was released, the paper reported.

Face it...that is exactly what is fueling most of the hatred against LEOs. This group supposedly embraced Posse Comitatus ( http://www.adl.org/poisoning_web/posse.asp )

I am willing to bet that reason these idiots embraced Posse Comitatus in the beginning was because they were probably arrested for drug use. Heck....I bet over 50% of the arrests in the country are for drug use / possession. Those arrests alienates the population. They fuel these anti-governemnt groups.

Even in simpler terms, families don't really have a problem with relatives getting locked up for violent crimes , but lock up the same guy for a minor drug offense and you have a pissed off family 9 out of 10 times.

Guys, drop the war on drugs crap. Two police men are dead. Two more are in the hospital. Pay your respects and/or discuss FACTS of the case. Nothing else needs to be in this thread.

Oh man, it's gonna get much much worse now.
The press up here is trying to link them to another movement:

    http://www.ksla.com/story/19304289/suspects-in-deadly-laplace-shooting-identified
"Sources also said one or more of the suspects arrested may be contract workers for Valero and added the individuals consider themselves "sovereign citizens."

You can check out those Bozos Facebook pages....loaded with crap about them. From Terry Lyn Smith's Facebook page.

He supports the "Independent Citizens Movement"

The Independent Citizens Movement (or Independent Citizens' Movement) is a conservative political party in the U.S. Virgin Islands that was founded by Virdin C. Brown and Steve O'Reilly in 1968. Its symbol is the torch.

    Early history
The party had its first political candidates in 1968, and it ran candidates again in 1970. An advertisement in The Virgin Islands Daily News on June 24, 1970 listed Fabian Martinez as the party's president.

The party's mission, according to a speech by Brown in 1969, is to "give the government back to the people through good, responsive, and responsible leadership." The party's platform was published in The Virgin Islands Daily News on October 26, 1974. The platform includes increasing the autonomy of the Virgin Islands and increased control over the territory's internal affairs, while still remaining a part of the United States.

Party member Cyril E. King successfully ran for governor in 1974. King was succeeded as Governor in turn by his former ICM Lieutenant Governor Juan Francisco Luis who remained in office until 1987.

    Recent history
From 1995 to 1997 Victor O. Frazer was Delegate from the U.S. Virgin Islands as the party's candidate, although he served as an independent in the House.

FWIW...he has 120 "friends" on his Facebook page. I bet those "Friends" wish they did not "friend " him.

I know this is a terrible thing that happend but the media really made Valero seem like a bad guy in this. This had nothing to do on the actualy plant grounds, yea they owned the parking lot but the parking lot is like 10 miles from the actual plant. I just feel for the men and women that work there cause they are feeling a lot of pressure from this.
