You said stop playing stupid games. Someone just quoted something you said about the marketplace rules applying. It's changed now.

At any rate, I had forgotten you were a mod until you quoted Windsor saying you would.
So when you were reminded he was a moderator, you realized your sig was wrong?

I have met JR1572 and he does not seem an elitist at all. I thought he was a good guy.

He's not an elitist. His point is it's funny how some people can carry a gun around thinking they will be able to decisively end someone's life when the **** goes down, yet they will whine like babies about relatively trivial things. The two ideas don't seem to mesh, it is kinda fascinating.

Isn't posting a PM against the rules? I sent it to you because I thought it was more mature to talk to you directly than continuing an argument publicly; however you're the more mature person I know, so apparently I was wrong.

You keep saying that all you were saying is that there's a lot of whining, which is a lie. If that were the case, I in no way see how your perception of their ability of defend themselves in a life or death situation holds any bearing on their whining. I called you out on a stupid comment you made, you're choosing to say it meant something it couldn't possibly have meant.

It was my understanding that you assist in the training classes of another member, to which I was referring.

I don't know if it's against the rules or not. If so, I'll take my punishment. No big deal.

There is a lot of whining here. You're whining right now. My comment isn't "stupid". More people feel the same way, it's just they won't say it because they don't want to hear the whining increase.

Watching a line to make sure people are being safe isn't training. Especially when I'm not instructing anyone on how to do anything.

Lol. I don't see how the two are mutually exclusive.

Disagreeing with you is not whining, though calling it whining is a juvenile way to attempt to win an argument.

Epic thread. People can absolutely ask and get whatever they can for what they have. However I do find it irritating that all of these new members are popping up only to list things at jacked prices. I don't think they should be banned or anything but you'll notice that the more active community oriented members are not doing this. The best thing to do is just ignore them.

As I read over this I think what I am seeing is the line being blurred between what you would do for a friend and what you would do for someone on the forum. To me the 2 are not connected. We have friends who are on this forum and some that aren't. Would we treat them differently because they are on here versus not? I don't think so, if they are a friend.
There are over 10,000 members on this forum spread all over the country. I doubt anyone knows them all. So, if you are selling something why would you not offer it at the current market value? If a friend saw it and were to PM you and say, "Hey, would you take XXX for it?" I am pretty certain if they are a friend you would probably consider it, but why would you for a forum member (not a friend) that you know nothing about?
I try to sell my stuff at what I consider to be a reasonable price. If I don't get what I want for it, I can either lower my price or not sell it. It's the same with this- if you feel the price is too high, don't buy. As long as people have buyers at the inflated prices, they will continue to keep prices up. Supply and Demand. But to ask people to sell at what you may consider a "reasonable" price on a forum of 10,000 people is a bit of a reach.
And you can say all you want about it being "price gouging", but ammo and guns are not required to keep you alive (and don't use the zombie apocalypse) like food, water and gas after a hurricane, etc. They are a want.
It's not like we didn't see this coming.

PMAG's were on sale at PSA not long ago for a 5 pack. Thought about buying 10 or more but was like 'Nah, gonna take care of Christmas stuff'. Was also about to order ammo and procrastinated there too. Well, the 6 mags and 250 rounds ammo will just have to make do for now with how sideways things went. My fault. I had the money and didn't spend it. The AR is no longer making range trips as I'm saving everything for class or whatever other issues. I'm down to plinking with a .308 bolt gun because I could probably do that cheaper than with an AR right now.

It sucks, but unfortunately that's how supply and demand works. Some have the supply, others have the demand. It's up to you to decide how much its worth to you and how great your needs are.

I for one am hoping the panic will taper off and I can get some items at reasonable prices in the next month or so. Otherwise I'll just pay the rape prices later on if I have to.

Not mutually exclusive, but absolutely related in regards to mindset and how one handles adversity. It's just an interesting theory.

So the suggestion is that someone who has a problem with $60 pmags is in someway mentally inept at defending his or her self and family? Or only the ones who vocalize their irritation?

Right now instead of arguing about the free market system and the price of Pmags we should be coming together to fight those who wish to take our firearms away.

I cannot set the price for a commodity nor the input costs associated with it. I can only chose to sell or not at today's market that I have no say so in.
BYW there are plenty of people who call farmers dicks, not too many here but there are plenty.

So, You do participate in the "Free Market" system. Did you keep your crops off the market when prices reached these historic highs, or did you "Chose" to sell them.

If you choose to sell them at above what the market average has been for the past 5 years, then did you profit off the backs of the less fortunate? :ugh:

I do not express any anger toward you or call you derogtory names if you, made an investment, took a risk and earned a profit which I had no control of either, because it was determined by supply and demand!

Direct example, the recent pork shortage concerns. Anyone mad at pork farmers for supplying the market?

I have met him. And he is a good guy. What he said was still stupid.

You said something blatantly stupid when you first came on BS.com. I am positive you can find at least one stupid thing I posted. (Shouldn't take long)
So where does that leave us?

I have read post that I didn't get until I reread what the guy said. It went from idiot to yeah that makes sense.

At some point you have to take the good with the bad and appreciate what is good about someone and forgive what you feel is bad about them. The net sum makes them something between a best friend or someone that needs to be put to death. (serial killer for example)

When the price of a PMag holds at $70 for 5 years, then ill take back my statement.
A typo, is that what it has come down to. Really
