Although it's heavy, ammo is cheap and ready found.

i think it would be more useful for hunting and the scope while not much will be helpful for scouting places out.

i would be trying to avoid gun fights as hard as i could

You know, its funny. Everyone considers the .22 as the ultimate survival tool since ammo is so plentiful. Now you can't find it anywhere!

Me... on foot I'd have the AR and my enfield. I know that no matter how bad things get that enfield will still fire!

Id grab my Fal and my M4. The Fal across the back and the M4 across my chest and my chest rig. My chest has 12 AR mags and 10 Fal mags in it. The scope on the Fal has since been replaced with a Barska 30mm 4x24x60 and my Ar has a Leapers 4x16x40 on it.

Congress and the ARMY wear paid off by Springfield and other companies and also because the Fal was Foreign made. And if I remember right there was only one other country besides us that used the M14, and that was S Korea. And that’s because we gave them to them.

I guess that would be more a long the lines of preference. I enjoy my vepr ak74, but thats me.

I would want to bring all of my guns with me, but assuming I would be limited I would bring my pellet rifle with a few thousand pellets (which weigh almost nothing and take up no space) as well as a few pistols. You ask for a rifle of choice. I assume I might have to find food...and I don't want to shoot a rabbit with a 300 win mag round, so the air rifle will work for that. I would probably bring a 10/22 or my .243 youth break-barrel as it is super light and accurate while being big enough to take down whatever I want to shoot.
