Thank you all for the kind words. I'm shooting for a sub 16 minute two mile run. I'll be there soon. I find my times are getting better when I run 3 days a week as opposed to 5 days a week.

Austin, I'm old. You better run faster than me.

    I didn't know we were competing! :P

For me right now I am not trying to get my speed up. I need to be able to do sixish miles straight for that race I am doing in July. My focus at the moment is recovery time combined with distance. So my runs are broken up into a warm-up jog, a fast run, walking, then windsprints / walking / jogging combos. For the type of athletics I perform I need to have high endurance and speedy recovery. Speed will come later, but we will make up from running slow on the mountain biking section!

We're not. I'm competing with myself.

I'm trying to get my times down for my 2 miles so my 1.5 mile time will get even lower.

That being said, if you want to compete, I am game! :) A friendly competition is always fun. We can even get madwabbit in on it and we can BOTH kick his butt!

12 miles biking today in the 95 degree weather. Under the canopy of trees and by the Comite River it was SUPER HUMID. Super humid is defined as mother @#$%ing humid times one trillion and ten. It was HOT.

mile came in at 8:40, 1.5 mi at 12:31

I'm still pacing myself too quick out of the gate. If I had really kicked it this morning i'd have hit the first mile in 7:XX for sure, but I wouldn't have run the extra distance.

still, a great run. just a slight drizzle and fantastic cool air from the front that rolled through. If yall slept in this morning you missed a good one.

Just went and did 24 minutes outside in the heat! I don't have any clue how far I ran / walked / jogged. I did 12 minutes at probably a 7 MPH pace, then walked for a set of streetlights, then started doing spring / jog / walk combos for the next 12 minutes. Felt good until the last four minutes when I started to get dizzy.

Yeah. I don't know if I agree with that, but OK! Any updates fellow running folks? No running for me today - just a few pushups and basic chest workouts. I wasn't feeling it after pigging out today.

    Yesterday I did 2 miles in 16:19.

    JR1572

Awesomeness! Yesterday I ran 1.3 miles in an unknown amount of time. Probably slow. Then I did wind-sprints for roughly 7/10 of a mile. Maybe a little more. Working on getting my recovery time up. It's looking good so far! About to go run right now too!

Tomorrow morning I'm going to run 1.5 miles as fast as I can. I'll post the results after my run.

Well tonight sucked. I ran for 14 minutes and then my calves cramped up and shin splints started to hardcore kick in. Ended up just walking home.
