I am a firm believer in letting the body do it thing. Last time I had the flu was when I was 8. Ive never had a flu shot and don't plan to. I also don't turn into a hermit during flu season or treat people with the flu like satan.

IIRC, the flu shot is always outdated (previous strain) anyway. I think we do more harm than good getting the shot

    74yo with high risks.

Not about to miss one and I get the supersized one. The health unit here gives them for free but makes a claim to my insurance.

The injection site is a tad sore after two days, but I don't mind.

As a vendor calling on hospitals, it is mandatory. (As well as annual TB tests).
Have had one as long as I can remember; I think once I had some general malaise a few days, once...also, had full blown flu once, even after the vaccine....it is after all, a well calculated guess each year what strains will be prevalent.

I am an ICU nurse and I can tell you that when ever a staff member refuses to get the shot they have caught the flu and my hospital requires a that staff member to be off 1 week when they test positive for it.
    I take it every year.

If you could see what the flu does to the elderly population you would take every year.

If you could see what the flu does to our elder, and nursing home residents, you would surely take it.

Haven't had any flu shots since I left the army in 2010 and have only been seriously sick one day ever since (and it was probably something I ate rather than the flu). So I don't feel the need to get one.

Never had one, never had the regular flu (contracted H1N1 in 2009).

Don't think I'll get one until I'm older and more at risk for issues. I'd rather my body fight it while it can.

They were mandatory in the army. About 40% of the unit would be at sick call within 3 days of the shot. Since I left active duty I had one required by the resrves in 07. It was the last time I had the flu.

I went 7 years without getting it. After being bedridden and contemplating death for 6 days two years ago, I've been getting it. Haven't had more than a sniffle since.

We've been getting it for free at work as long as I can remember. I get it every year, never had a problem. I have a phobia of needles, and this is one of the only shots I will take, especially with the baby getting us sick with every damn disease under the sun lately.
