Trying to find the origin on this video, you would NOT believe the Flak this guy is getting. I've seen already on 4 forums where people are absolutely thrashing him for being unethical. Saying he took too big a risk at toolong a range of hurting the animal instead of killing it. Crazy to hear that come out of Hunter Forums. Sounds like a little jealousy to me.

It was all about the placement of the shot. He hit the spine and the animal was paralyzed. I think he shot a little higher than he wanted. Still, what a shot!!!

I don't know if I'd call it "hunting" from that far away he could have a rock concert going on behind him and the moose wouldn't care. Still a very impressive shot though! When his daughter gets bigger he can show that to her boyfriends for very effective curfew enforcement.

I remember a guy from Alaska telling me that 35 Whelen is a very common cartridge used on Moose. It also might explain the time of flight.
