I spent the first day of the Awerbuck class with one on my Moss 590. I took it off and sold it after that first day.
With it installed on a 590, you can't get to the safety without contorting your hand around to run your thumb up to the safety.
Trust me, don't do it! Employ proper technique...
So we're sitting in Sulphur, La., waiting for the go-ahead from the base to come home.
Anyone shot at the subject range? Or does anyone know of a decent range in the Sulphur/Lake Charles area?
I've had Morey fit a few basic parts on two 1911's (ambi safeties, beavertails, hammers, etc.), and he's done a fantastic job!
I've also held a couple of his full-house custom jobs, and they're absolutely amazing! He's also a bit of a designer, so if you like talking things like gas piston...
I'll probably be giving him a shout this weekend for another order ... just don't anyone tell the wife. She says "no more gun stuff until AFTER the baby's born" ... and of course I've tried to tell her that after the baby's born, there won't be time or money for gun stuff. Personally, I think...

Ok, seriously now ... how competitive do you want to get? If all you want to do is occasionally break some birds and have some fun but don't really care how many, yes, you can use just about anything out there. If you want to be competitive, you need to have an over/under or a semi capable of...
Damn, somewhere I heard a rumor a "huge" indoor range is being opened in or around Chalmette, and the only thing I could think of was someone was reopening this one.
I'll have to do some digging and see what I can find ...
Just one thing about the "guard" being in NOLA ... many of these soldiers have been to Iraq, some have been over a couple times. I think having the same troops who have patrolled the streets of Iraq patrol the streets of NOLA is, at the very least, a clear violation of the spirit of Posse...
I've never stepped foot into this town/these towns, and I probably never will. BUT that is completely beside the point!
If there are criminals on the streets, get them off the streets and KEEP them off the streets. If there are known felons in possession of a firearm, arrest them. If the...
