      Thanks for the reply. I suspected that it might be overheating (but I still wondered why it would shut off on startup, before it had a chance to heat up).       Worth a look

      You're right. I should say, don't use a holster that causes you to brush the trigger on the draw, hoping you'll finger the trigger guard and not the trigger itself.

      Avoidable. Have the presence of mind to not pull the trigger as soon as your finger clears the holster, or keep it in the safe.
