After I left the dealers store, I thought the same thing. If I'm gonna be waiting on one, waiting on two would just make it less painful down the road. The only problem is then I'd need additional 22 hosts, nothing I have currently is threaded, and I can only push my luck so far. I hear...
Gentlemen,
I've entered into the world of NFA items finally. JCcypress was a great help and I highly recommend him to anyone doing a trust. It couldn't have been more painless and easy. If I would have known how easy it was to set up a trust and buy a silencer, I'd have done this long time...
What ever happened to Pangris? I remember when I joined he was one of the guys who was a wealth of knowledge, but I never see anything from him anymore.
I remember going to these with my dad as a kid. I felt like they had so much more to see at that show. I went to the one at Lamar Dixon today and was underwhelmed (again). I have to agree with madwabbit, with the internet, gun shows seem relegated to selling/trading with individuals and...
Bayouslide, thanks for the heads up. I'm still pretty new to reloading, could you give me a little explanation as to how that kit eliminates runout?
I ordered the seating die and I'll try to report back how it works out for me.
Thanks for the drier sheet advice I'll try that. I'll also...
I'm pondering getting one of these Redding 9mm Micrometer adjustable bullet seating dies. I've seen decently favorable reviews in my searches so far. I view it mainly as an easy way to adjust COL when working up loads with different bullets and powders. I don't expect as much precision out of...
I find the idea of pistol caliber carbine/sbr very neat and have been wanting one for a while now.
Today I was at Sherburne and a nice guy at the pistol range allowed me to try out his Sig MPX. It was quite nice. He also had a can for it, although I don't remember which brand.
On a...
I've used the 124 gr LRN in a G 19, G 34, and CZ 75 SP-01. They worked well in all of them (the glocks all had Lone Wolf barrels). I haven't quite dialed in my load like Vigilante Sniper has (see thread http://www.bayoushooter.com/forums/showthread.php?140498-9mm-Bayou-Bullit-Reloads)...
I'm in the same boat as Bryan & 4th as well. Bayou 9mm and 45's have been awesome for me. I didn't really look for a cheaper alternative once I found them.
Mr. Donnie was great to deal with and was more than happy to answer all of my questions.
I ordered 2500 rounds of brass and went through it over the weekend. I only found about 10 total but ended up throwing them out. I'm still somewhat new to reloading and didn't want to risk it to save a .06 piece of brass.
I ordered a bunch of once fired and cleaned brass from Top Brass online to reload 9mm with. I noticed while checking some of the brass out that a couple pieces seemed to have a thicker wall about half way down the case towards the base. The head stamp on this brass said "IMT".
My question...
Bryan, That is a very nice Springfield you have. That is the picture that comes to mind when I think of what the gun I want should look like.
Did you go with Hand Checkering or machine checkering?
I bought my wife some of these pots and they are great. Everything we cook inside is either in the LeCreuset stuff or a couple cast iron pans (1 Lodge and the other DeBuyer).
That is a nice looking pistol Bryan. I didn't see anything about whether the front strap is checkered when I looked at them last night. Did yours come with that?
Are there any ranges near Gonzales, LA that allows people to bring & shoot steel targets? I'd like to find a range closer to home to use for pistol and rifle. I'd also like to be able to shoot steel if possible.
Do you see any true added value in going with a Warren Tactical semi-custom vs a SA Loaded/STI Trojan or Spartan/etc. when considered from a value vs price perspective.
