So I get the desire to anger the left...

Regardless, he was a US President, and I always urge respect for the office, even if the occupant is unworthy, the office and having held it demands a separate deterrence than the individual, much like a rich slob who owns a Ferrari, you still take care when you valet the car.

      Got rid of my Jeep

My jeep was rated at 7400# towing. 0-60 in 6.5ish. Handled well with bilsteins on it. I loved it, but she break...all da time.

      WiFi vulnerabilities

I am located in a "bowl" by a river, with the edges of the bowl being 80 feet high, and I lose signal if I am more than 50 feet from my house, 360 degree perimeter, which is not yet to the bowl sides. I honestly feel that this is better protection than any security i could electrically do...

      Got rid of my Jeep

2.5 year update. The CX5 has been stellar and I plan to continue to own it. The only things that have broken from 28K to the current 69,5XX miles are the rear diff, and the front rotors seem warped. To be fair, my 370Z, and Jeep Grand Cherokee also had this issue. It happens when they rotate...

is Lafayette Sheriff Mark Garber signing/stamping NFA Forms?

Yep, I really like it. Dropped the Form 4 CLEO copy in my Sheriff's door-box and walked out (he wasn't in or I would have handed it to him, he's a nice guy, seems like a good Sheriff, too, from those I've talked to). Now people who CAN'T say that about their CLEO don't have to care.

      WiFi vulnerabilities

I am nearly completely tech illiterate. I presume someone would have to trespass to where they could pick up my signal to do this, correct? I mean, they can't sit 1/4 mile away and somehow dip their toe in the water so to speak, can they? As in, if I cannot connect to my wi-fi, they can't...

So I get the desire to anger the left...

I personally do not have a desire to anger the left. I want to befriend them, and let them see that guns aren't the devil, and so on and so forth. I've changed many more minds through that kind of behavior than through arguing or through antagonizing.

      Rem Oil warning

RemOil never worked for beans when I was a kid. It did zip to prevent rust. This is decades ago, so I am astounded that they could actually make the stuff WORSE. WOW!

federal flite control 00 buck low recoil or full power?

I have tested all of the FC loadings from my shotguns, and the #1 FC seems to work best for tightness of patterns. YMMV for sure. I'd use whatever grouped the tightest AND had the least fliers.

      Ar-10 build or buy questions

DPMS Gen II seems to be pretty popular.

      1/9 vs. 1/7

1/7 offers more ammunition choice flexibility and will allow/facilitate better expansion than slower twist rates sometimes.

New Release - Magpul Receiver Extensions

I bought the 10 position one for a carbine I plan to build soon. Needed a good buffer tube, this one looked good, and I like the magpul people.

      Best rifle scope??????

I've owned nightforce and kahles. I ended up selling the k16i and will likely buy another nightforce. The kahles had the better glass, say, 10/10 vs. 7/10, but the nightforce just suited me better overall.

      Nightforce Beast

Another shameless plug for IG/SO. They know their product and the prices are great, along with the before and after sale support.

Understanding the law, and lethal use of force to defend one's self....

Wow. That sounds a lot nastier than I thought was actually the case.

Understanding the law, and lethal use of force to defend one's self....

A lot of people are still responding to my question from the position of "could have...should have..." I get that. However, at the point of needing or not needing to use a firearm, that is already out the window. I am PRESUMING with my question, that the person involved is not going to...

Understanding the law, and lethal use of force to defend one's self....

I have often seen questions on Facebook, forums, etc. about "Can I shoot if...?" My personal take on "Can I shoot if...?" has always been that I am not going to shoot someone unless I reasonably feel that if I do NOT shoot them, I could not stop what they were about to do, and what they were...

      Crossfit

I'll give it a go. Stuff like that takes me forever to learn.

      Crossfit

Really? Those are cake. Meh. I'm just doing it wrong I guess.

      Crossfit

I just wish I could do a muscle-up. It's a skill I just don't have. My lifts are decent, I can bang out 15 strict dead-hang pull ups over or under-hand, whichever, blah blah blah, but nowhere close to a MU on rings or bar.
