I've had two Z71s and now drive a 2013 FX4. I have to say that space and comfort are way better in the 09 and up F150s. I drive a lot on the highway for work so went with the Ecoboost. No benefit on mileage, but the torque at low RPM is nice. Going to be trading it in next summer for another one.

I've got a 2010 F-150 XLT 4x4 that I just love. Mileage tanked when I put the leveling kit on it, with slightly larger tires - 33" terra grapplers. Went from 14/20 to 12/17.

Sync is the best damn thing since sliced bread though. Best thing to come out of microsoft in ages.

    I've got a 2013 F150 FX4 crew cab with the 5.0L, 6spd auto, & 3.73 gears. I normally get about 19.5mpg on my runs to/from Houma (from Carencro).

'04.5 and up Ram 2500 HD with the 5.9 Cummins. I love mine! Pre DPF ********, and the best of all, it isn't a Ford! ;) :D

I'd love a diesel, but would like to have lower miles. No way I could get on under $20k with "lower" mileage :(
They're out there. Got to be quick when they pop up. I lucked out on mine. It was an '04.5 (beginning of the HO 5.9) that got traded in at work. It was destined for the auction since it had 150,000 miles on it.  Got it out the door $9k and book was $19.8k.

Don't be too afraid of supposed high miles on a diesel. Mine got better mpg after I passed 200,000 miles now I'm at 320,000 and wouldn't hesitate to drive it cross country and back with a trailer.

For some reason I can't get to kelley blue book from my phone. It was cheaper compared to all the others I looked at (the rest were 1500s though). Will have to check kbb when I get home. He said it averages 10 mpg

    Remember.
When a truck is lifted, leveled or lowered - WAS IT DONE THE RIGHT WAY?
I got SCREWED a few years back on a 98 Z71 1500 GMC because on incorrect parts and install.
Do you have a good mechanic you trust?

Went check the truck out today, was too damned tall. No way my fiance could put three car seats up there. I literally had to climb up and stand on the front tire because I couldn't see into the engine bay.

I def will try if I get something from the BR area.
