All they offered was 5 bucks off a month for a year when my wife called. So we canceled and Dish Network said they will be at my house at 10 a.m. to install (wanted att u-verse but no service in my area). Bye Bye Directtv after 10 years of service.

Everyone I know who switched from Directv to Dish Network all switched back within three months. Dish Network has less channels.

Where I live it's either Directv or Dish Network. We have no other options.

I love DTV even without those channels for a short time. Cable sucks and would cost me around $75 more a month to have what I get with DTV. Dish does not have all the channels and picture quality as DTV. I use to own a business selling and instilling all types for sat systems from tv to internet. DTV is the best. All TV providers go through this and lose channels from time to time. As far as rain and Sat. if you lose you signal often during rain the its not installed correct. I almost never lose my sat service but I did my own install. Oh and during hurricane season its best to have a dish. If we get hit all you need a generator to have you TV. Oh and try bringing your cable camping with you. LOL
