    I'm a new guy here, so maybe I ought to keep my mouth shut on this topic. Going to state my opinion anyhow.

    Trapping nuisance animals and relocating. Not the best way to handle the problem animal. Trapping it and relocating it to another location, the new location already has its resident population of coons. Some one is going to be pushed out of the territory.

    I raise chickens as a hobby, coons are the most numerous potential predators. I use barrier protection rather than attempt eradication. Electric fencing around the entire circumference of my chicken runs.

    Having some one relocate a coon into my neighborhood even a mile away I wouldn't appreciate. If they are such a nuisance that you have to trap, then you need to humanely put the animal down. Sacking him up and hawking him miles up the road, dropping him off into the territory of other coons is not doing him a favor.
