Guinness is the nectar of the gods!
A little off topic, but anyone who loves beer should be excited. A new bar is opening up in BR with over 140 beers on tap and over 150 in bottles. The Pelican House will have over 200 whiskeys as well, and the most knowledgeable bar staff in Baton Rouge.
Shameless plug for my friends - I am l curating the wine list and helping with the food menu.
I'm not much for Guiness. Köstritzer Schwarzbier is my favorite.
Gavin, where's it going to be? In downtown?
Guinness Draught is all I know... what is this WD40 "lite" you speak of?
Guinness on tap in Ireland > Guinness on tap anywhere else > Guinness Draught in bottles >>>>>>>>>>>> domestic **** beer
... and Guinness Lite taste like WD40 - jus' sayin

I tried some Guinness served at room temperature in Africa in 1963 and it was the nastiest drink I had ever tasted.
^^^^This. I never liked the stuff until I had it in Ireland. If someone serves you a Guinness and it takes them less than 5 minutes to bring it, they did it wrong. The only local place I have found that is very close is The Irish House on St. Charles Ave.
