Congrats on the new gun. The g26 was going to be my first gun but I picked up an xds instead.
Nice gun. While I like to get a new gun, I LOVE to pick up a used gun (as long as i get a smoking deal)! That way I can say "look, I am the FIRST to clean this gun!!!"
All kidding aside it always seems that the used guns I buy require complete disassembly to be cleaned correctly. I recently blew a friend's mind by taking a 1911 completely apart (left the sights on the slide and the bushings/plunger tube on the frame) to clean it. He was adamant that I was never going to get it back together. I showed him.
Appreciate it Will, I will need help as soon as I have a break to head to Sherburne!
i may need help in that department, got a 1911 like that right now......never done any thing more than a fields strip, at the same time im sending it back to colt for a re finish, so it will likely receive the cleaning it screams for there as part of the refinishing process right?
If they are not breaking the gun down completely they are doing it wrong...
Replying to your original question. There is nothing like getting a new toy and knowing you are going to be the first one to clean, oil and take it out. Nice looking pistol. I didn't care for the Glocks at first but, the more I shoot em, the better I like em!
