    Tsk tsk tsk!!!

See that little brown envelope right under the foam? It's got Mr. I Already Deflowered Your Glock's two 9x19 empty casings.

Honestly I hate new guns. Especially Glocks, I prefer them good and broken in. I've loaned more than one brand new Glock out at classes just to get rounds through them.

Nice gun. While I like to get a new gun, I LOVE to pick up a used gun (as long as i get a smoking deal)! That way I can say "look, I am the FIRST to clean this gun!!!"

All kidding aside it always seems that the used guns I buy require complete disassembly to be cleaned correctly. I recently blew a friend's mind by taking a 1911 completely apart (left the sights on the slide and the bushings/plunger tube on the frame) to clean it. He was adamant that I was never going to get it back together. I showed him.

I have been known to break in a few new Glocks and they were all boringly reliable but fun to shoot.

i may need help in that department, got a 1911 like that right now......never done any thing more than a fields strip, at the same time im sending it back to colt for a re finish, so it will likely receive the cleaning it screams for there as part of the refinishing process right?

and yes op, i do like being the first on a gun, its a special feeling.

If they are not breaking the gun down completely they are doing it wrong...

Replying to your original question. There is nothing like getting a new toy and knowing you are going to be the first one to clean, oil and take it out. Nice looking pistol. I didn't care for the Glocks at first but, the more I shoot em, the better I like em!

ALL "new" guns have been fired.

Doesn't do anything for me compared to older times...

All new guns have been fired. That is a true statement. I am glad that the manufacturers test fire the weapon once or twice to make sure it works. After that it is still a new gun to the first guy who buys it and then knows the history of the weapon versus buying it from someone who may not have taken care of it. That is why I am wary of buying used pistols/rifles, etc. and enjoy being the "First" guy to be able to molest a new Glock or whatever the new pistol may be.
