Those are great hotels and have great restaurants in them. Not many must do things, just gamble.

Boom town casino has the best buffet, if you are looking for any flavor with your crab legs. Every where else is pretty bland. In my opinion. It is only 2-3 miles from the Beau. Located on the back bay. Not on the main strip, opposite side of the island.

Ohhh man, the Steamer! THAT is some good eating! Another spot worth mentioning is On the Half Shell at Hwy 49 and Beach Blvd.

In GULGPORT, the Island View casino; the 1st is also the first weekend of Crusin the coast, expect premium rates, 3 day minimums, if you can find a room.

I heard that 'Crusin' the Coast" is happening around then. If so, everything will be packed and bumper-to-bumper custom cars all week. Hotels will be at a premium. Can anyone confirm if this event is happening then?

    Edited: Danny confirmed above.

The Blow Fly Inn on the back bay is a good locals place. The hard rock has really nice rooms, but its a loud hotle. The Beau Rivage is a lot quieter and more sedate if thats what you are looking for. If you just want to drive and relax. I recommend hitting 603 to the coast and then driving all the way in to Biloxi. its a great drive and a nice way to lose yourself for an hour.
